by Jabran Bilal Khalid

As I sit here alongside the rest of the boxing world waiting for the next ‘big thing’ in the Heavyweight division; I cannot hide the fact that I am excited of the speculation of the return of David Haye.

The former undisputed Cruiserweight and WBA Heavyweight Champion announced his retirement last month after losing a one sided point’s decision to Wladimir Klitschko in July.

However, it was announced earlier this week that Vitali Klitschko, the older brother of Wladimir, is in negotiations with Team Haye for a clash in March 2012. Adam Booth, the manager/trainer of Haye confirmed this. “We have received a contract to fight Vitali Klitschko and our lawyers are looking at the details of what has been offered”.

For years now, the Klitchskos have dominated the Heavyweight division with ease. Vitali is coming off a comfortable win against Tomasz Adamek whom he stopped in the 10th round in September and Wladimir is in a meaningless fight against Jean Marc Mormeck on December 10th.

The division has become a farce.

The only real threat in the public’s eyes is the Hayemaker. He brings excitement in and outside the ring which is only healthy for the sport of boxing.
